Wincor nixdorf th210 manual

After the user-defined character is canceled, the corresponding pattern from current active ROM code page is printed. The alphanumeric characters 0xx7F are the same for each set. The command may be combined with clockwise rotated print 1B 56 or counter-clockwise rotated print 1B The character order is inverted in the buffer so text is readable. Only bit 0 is used. Bits are not used. In standard mode, the vertical direction is the paper feed direction, and the horizontal direction is perpendicular to the paper feed direction.

Lock permanent font flash area Note: This only affects the 1D 40 33 commands and downloading a font to permanent font area when a font already exists with the same ID.

The downloaded font is always stored in the permanent font area of flash. If there is not enough memory in the permanent font area to store the file the printer returns NACK. The application is required to manage user data space, downloaded font space, and logo space. After downloading a logo to the printer, wait ms to allow the printer time to write the logo to flash.

The number of bytes sent is represented by the formulas in the table. Each bit corresponds to two horizontal dots. In this case, the printer assigns 0 as the active logo identifier. It automatically stores any new logo definition in flash memory as logo 0, inactivating any previous logo 0 definition. This advance of paper however, causes a blank space at the start of the next receipt that could be used.

It is set prior to downloading the logo and reset after the logo has been downloaded. Page Status Status Status command introduction The TH has three methods of providing status to the application. These methods are through batch status commands, real time status commands and unsolicited status mode. An application may use one or more of these methods to understand the current status of the printer. A brief description of each of these methods follows.

Page Transmit Paper Sensor Status Unlike the A, that had a dedicated connector and resultant dedicated status reporting for each cash drawer, the TH has a single connector that shares data reporting from either cash drawer. When either cash drawer is open, an open status is reported by the printer. Page Transmit Status Unlike the A, that had a dedicated connector and resultant dedicated status reporting for each cash drawer, the TH has a single connector that shares data reporting from either cash drawer.

Fixed to off. Not used. Page 75 Unlike the A, that had a dedicated connector and resultant dedicated status reporting for each cash drawer, the TH has a single connector that shares data reporting from either cash drawer. Unrecoverable error occurred. Thermal printhead temp. Page Real Time Printer Status Transmission Unlike the A, that had a dedicated connector and resultant dedicated status reporting for each cash drawer, the TH has a single connector that shares data reporting from either cash drawer.

They are disabled prior to sending graphic or other data to the printer that may contain embedded real time commands. Once this mode is activated, the printer automatically transmits 4 status bytes whenever any of the conditions change.

If an RSC connection with hardware flow control is used, all four status bytes will be transmitted without checking DSR. Knife error occurred. No unrecoverable error. Responses to transmit peripheral device status 1B 75 and transmit paper sensor status 1B 76 are non-real time responses and will arrive in the order in which they were solicited.

Note: The settings for model, size of module, and error correction level are effective until the printer is reset, or the power is turned off. Select model for QR code Be sure to add a quiet zone when using this function. The first variation uses a NUL character to terminate the string; the second uses a length byte at the beginning of the string to compensate for the code bar code, which can accept a NUL character as part of the data.

With the second variation, the length of byte is specified at the beginning of the string. Extended barcode printing for upside down and ladder barcodes can be done in page mode if required.

Each row has a left and right row indicator with a data region between. The left-most character in the top row of the data region is the total number of characters in the data region, excluding error correction characters. Settings of this command are in effect until 1b 40 is executed, the printer is reset, or the power is turned off.

Page Page Mode The printer moves print position to the next dot of the last data of the symbol. Page mode Page mode is one of two modes that the TH printer uses to operate. Standard mode is typical of how most printers operate by printing data as it is received and feeding paper as the various paper feed commands are received. The horizontal and vertical motion unit are specified by the set horizontal and vertical minimum motion units 1D 50 command.

Macro definition begins when this command is received during normal operation and ends when this command is received during macro definition. If the macro is not defined or if r is 0, nothing is executed. User data storage This is the default condition for logo flash storage. A logo defined following this command is stored in flash memory. Objects that are no longer valid will be removed.

This will provide the user the maximum amount of storage in this area for new objects. If the sectors specified are the same as current parameters, nothing is erased and the printer returns ACK. Those sectors should be erased in two situations: when the logo definition area is full and an application is attempting to define new logos, and when an application wants to replace one user-defined character set with another.

To return to normal printer operation either the operator must turn the power off and then on to reboot or the application must send a command to cancel download mode and reboot. Page Settings Commands 0— Sending this command followed by an application will download the application to the printer. This will reprogram the flash. Route the cable up and through the strain relief clip above the connect- or and through the opening in the connector cover when shut.

Note: If installing two cash drawers, you will need to obtain a Y-cable as shown in the illustration below. Installation is identical for all connectors. To install the communication cable: 1. Make sure the host computer is off.

Page 19 USB symbol on the connector is face up when you plug it into the port. Page 20 3. Plug the power cord into the power supply. Plug the power supply into a grounded outlet.

When it is properly pow- ered, the green LED on the top of the printer will light up. Page Cable Routing Guide the USB cable through the strain relief and out the slot in the con- nector cover, as shown in the illustration. The USB cable fits underneath the power supply and cash drawer cables.

The RSC cable routes straight out the back when attached. The printer will arrive for installation pre-configured. However, if you would like to run a new print test or check the configurations, you can run a diagnostics printout detailing the current configuration. Wincor Nixdorf does not recommend that users change the printer configuration. Page 24 5. Open the top cover. Press and hold the paper feed button while closing the top cover. The diagnostic printout verifies your new settings. Page 25 Print Test and Configutration Menu.

Sample will vary depending on the printer model. This function makes it possible to set the number of minutes the printer will remain idle before entering a low-power 1 watt idle state. To set or to adjust the energy-savings timeout value: 1. Please use thermal paper, which corre- sponds to the Wincor Nixdorf paper specifications for this printer. Paper near end The green LED blinks off four times, then remains on, indicating that ap- proximately 15 feet of paper remains.

Page Maximum Power Setting There are four levels of power, besides auto, that can be selected in the Hardware Options section of the Configuration menu: Auto for Wincor Nixdorf power supplies with PowerID , fall back 48W Printhead Setting The printhead energy rating and printer setting must match. The setting will be preconfigured from the factory but may require changing should service to the thermal mechanism be required.

If on power up, contact your au- thorized service repre- sentative. Page 32 Note: If paper has been used which is not on the Wincor Nixdorf recommend paper list, resulting in a dirty printhead, the printhead may require cleaning prior to switching back to Wincor Nixdorf recommended paper.
